HOPE VI - Development Phases

Phase I was completed in December 2002. This phase consists of 160 units, 60 are replacement public housing and 100 that are fair market rentals under the Tax Credit Regulations.

Phase II will consist of the Bradenton Housing Authority's new administration/community building and an 80-child daycare center. The administration/community building will be built on a site in the center of the revitalized communities which formally was formerly a concrete company site and the daycare will be built across the street from the administration/community building.

Phase III-A construction is underway and is scheduled for completion December 31, 2004. This phase consists of 117 units, 65 are replacement public housing units and 52 are fair market rentals under the Tax Credit regulations.

Phase III-B will consist of 70 units, a 36 unit senior building on the former Department of Motor Vehicles site located at the corner of 1st Street West and 17th Avenue West and 34 units on the former Rogers Garden site south of a newly constructed 15th Avenue West.

Phase IV will consist of 92 homeownership units to be built on the remaining former Rogers Garden site. Infrastructure construction will begin in the spring of 2004 and homeownership units will be available toward the end of 2004.
